Bluegrass Festival and concert photography
I started covering BlueGrass musicians at the sweet age of 16. My first encounter with greatness was in 1986 at the Walnut Valley Flatpicking Championship, in my birthplace of Winfield, Kansas. There I got to meet and photograph a man whose music I'd listened to as a toddler, whose voice and guitar are as ingrained into my soul as much as my mothers voice - Arthel "Doc" Watson.
